Nordic Climate Group expands into UK and Ireland with three acquisitions

Nordic Climate Group has entered the UK and Irish markets through the acquisition of three companies with a combined annual revenue exceeding EUR 50 million (over SEK 550 million). The move reinforces the Group’s position in Europe and marks a significant step in its international growth strategy.

The acquisitions include Anglo Irish Refrigeration, MC Refrigeration, and CSD Air Conditioning. With these additions, Nordic Climate Group becomes the market leader in Ireland and secures a foothold in the UK, which are among Europe’s largest markets for energy-efficient cooling, heating systems, and natural refrigerants.

This expansion builds on Nordic Climate Group’s previous growth in the Nordics and the Netherlands. The company aims to meet increasing demand in food retail, logistics, industrial, and commercial property sectors, where energy efficiency and modern climate technologies are key drivers.

Anglo Irish Refrigeration, founded in 1976, operates across Ireland and Northern Ireland through five entities and employs over 220 people. CEO Trevor Wright and CFO Niall Jones will remain in their roles within the Group.

MC Refrigeration, based in Wellingborough, provides commercial refrigeration services across the UK. Led by Laura Dobson, with founder Murray Carvell staying on as advisor, the company will retain its brand and team.

CSD Air Conditioning, headquartered in Clydebank, Scotland, offers installation and servicing of HVAC systems nationwide. Founders Carlo and Danielle Scaramuzza will continue leading the business within the Group.

“With our entry into the United Kingdom and Ireland, we are reinforcing our model and gaining greater momentum in our shared ambition to drive the transition to energy-efficient cooling and heating solutions,” said Fredrik Gren, President and Group CEO of Nordic Climate Group.
