Panasonic Compressors Rebrand to Sonyo as Part of Strategic Transition

The refrigeration industry is seeing a significant change as Panasonic Appliances Compressor (Dalian) Co., Ltd. has officially rebranded to Sonyo Compressor (Dalian) Co., Ltd., effective December 6, 2022. This transition aligns with a strategic restructuring in which Sonyo Compressor now operates as part of Dalian Bingshan Group, with Panasonic retaining a 30% shareholding.

Despite the name change, the company assures that product specifications, model numbers, and dimensions remain unchanged. Customers can expect the same reliability and performance from Sonyo Compressors as they did under the Panasonic brand.

Transition Timeline and Branding Updates

Deliveries with the new Sonyo logo will commence in October/November 2025. During the transition period, products may carry either the old Panasonic branding or the new Sonyo branding until the stock is fully updated.
