Panasonic Opens 12,000 m² HVAC Distribution Center in Germany

Panasonic Heating & Ventilation Airconditioning Europe has opened a central distribution center in Ladbergen, North Rhine-Westphalia, dedicating around 12,000 square meters to storing and shipping its heat pump, air conditioning, and ventilation products for the German market.

The Ladbergen site handles goods receipt, storage, dispatch, and the picking of customer-specific orders for Panasonic's climate, ventilation, and heat pump technology. It is integrated into the company's European logistics network and serves as a central hub, consolidating goods from European and Asian production sites for delivery to customers in Germany.

The facility uses optimized racking systems for floor efficiency and specialized handling equipment for moving heat pumps safely. For the first time at a Panasonic logistics site, it also deploys automated, scan-based measuring and weighing technology to streamline transport processes.

Goods receipt is scheduled to begin in June 2026, with outbound shipments starting in July. Panasonic cites shorter transport routes and improved product availability as the basis for lower CO2 emissions in Germany.

"In a dynamically growing market for sustainable heating solutions, a high-performance supply chain is decisive," said Jose Manuel Alves, Regional Director DACH, UK & Ireland.
