Partial Withdrawal of ISO 9001 Certification and Withdrawal of IRIS Certifications for Mitsubishi Electric’s Nagasaki Works
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that certain aspects of the scope of the ISO 9001*  certification as well as overall IRIS** certifications for the company’s Nagasaki Works (Togitsu-Cho, Nishisonogi-Gun, Nagasaki Prefecture) have been withdrawn by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited, effective September 16. This follows a special assessment conducted in the wake of the temporary suspension of the said certifications effective July 21 (announced July 29) in connection with the certain quality-related conduct for railcar HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems) at the works, as announced on June 30.

Mitsubishi Electric will make every effort to promptly reacquire certification in the areas affected.
