Petra Wolf returns to Chillventa team

After a good 10 years filling various positions at NürnbergMesse, Petra Wolf is once again part of the Chillventa team. She is very well known in the industry, because she was heavily involved in the development of the exhibition. In her role as Expo and Conference Director and a member of NürnbergMesse’s management board, Ms Wolf will now be in charge of this successful, world-leading refrigeration and air conditioning trade fair. Her responsibilities will extend to the global refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump network too, which, besides Chillventa, includes the European Heat Pump Summit, ACREX India and REFCOLD INDIA, among other events. In addition, she will head the Building & Construction cluster. This comprises eight events in Nuremberg alone.

“These difficult times caused by the coronavirus pandemic in particular are showing once again how important refrigeration technology is to our lives. Food and medicines would go bad without being refrigerated correctly. Cold chains would not be able to be stringently maintained and goods would no longer reach us fresh and ready to enjoy. Also, data centres would overheat or completely break down and our communication would therefore be crippled. Without the refrigeration industry, its plant builders and operators, manufacturers and service providers like logistics companies, life as we know it would not be possible. They all contribute a huge amount for us all,” says Petra Wolf, member of the management board at NürnbergMesse.

Ms Wolf has felt a connection to Chillventa and the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump community since the exhibition first took place. She goes on to say: “Chillventa and its industry have always been important to me and I’ve kept a keen eye on them throughout the last few years. I have felt a connection to the trade fair and the topics it covers since the beginning. That’s primarily because it is now over a decade since we first developed and launched the Chillventa concept in conjunction with our exhibitors – and the exhibition’s success vindicates the concept, because it works excellently. Chillventa’s outstanding development is great proof of that. I’m obviously very proud of that and am really looking forward to Chillventa in October 2020, even in these turbulent times.”

About Petra Wolf

After her time on the Chillventa team as Public Relations Manager, Petra Wolf took over NürnbergMesse’s International Division as a member of the company’s management board and has most recently been Head of Expo and Conference II, which encompassed numerous world-leading trade fairs. From April on, she is assuming responsibility for the Building & Construction cluster in addition to the Retail & Consumer Goods cluster. She says: “The construction topics mean a lot to me. The cluster is a terrific challenge and has great potential for development both within Germany and internationally. I will be able to incorporate my expertise and huge worldwide network here.”

The Building & Construction cluster includes a large number of world-leading trade fairs and product families, such as the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK duo, Chillventa, the European Heat Pump Summit, Stone+tec, GaLaBau, FeuerTrutz and eltec.

The next Chillventa will be taking place from 13 to 15 October 2020 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre.
