Ref Tools puts essential tools in the hands of installers

Over the past months, we’ve made several exciting updates to our popular Refrigerant Slider app. We improved the interface, integrated several of our other apps, and added quality of life improvements that made it much easier to use.

But the biggest reveal was always yet to come, and we finally get to share it with you today.

We’re thrilled to finally announce that Refrigerant Slider is now Ref Tools Danfoss, an essential, all-in-one mobile app for air conditioning and refrigeration technicians.

The Cooling industry is becoming smarter and increasingly complex, and HVACR professionals need tools, guidance, support, and information that keep them on the cutting edge. Ref Tools puts all of that in the palm of your hand.

Today, Ref Tools includes five of our most popular and useful air conditioning and refrigeration tools:

  • Refrigerant Slider

While Refrigerant Slider is transforming into Ref Tools, it will retain all the core functionality that made it a hit with millions of installers around the world. You can still find Refrigerant Slider within Ref Tools and use it to quickly calculate pressure/temperature ratios for over 80 refrigerants.

  • Low-GWP Tool

Low-GWP Tool helps you find and compare climate-friendly refrigerants for retrofitting by checking compatibility with the cooling system’s TXV.

  • Troubleshooter

Troubleshooter helps you identify and compare symptoms in a refrigeration system that’s acting up. Once you identify the issue, Troubleshooter also recommends solutions for you to try.

  • Spare Parts

Spare Parts lets you access and order an extensive list of Danfoss spare parts and service kits for industrial refrigeration applications, right from the job site.

  • Magnetic Tool

Magnetic Tool helps you test and troubleshoot solenoid valve coils quickly and easily.

You can seamlessly transition between any of these tools with a tap of your finger, so you always have the right one at hand. Ref Tools also lets you track your most visited service sites and save unique settings for each one. You save time and simplify each service call.

Ref Tools also provides you with some educational entertainment; you can access our popular Chilling with Jens podcast directly in the app. One minute, you can use Ref Tools to work on a cooling system; the next, you can take a quick break to learn something new about refrigeration.

This is just the beginning. Throughout 2020 and beyond, we’ll continue to add new tools, features, and content. We’re committed to providing the ongoing support and improvements that make Ref Tools the must-have app that every technician needs in their digital toolbelt.

Ref Tools is available to download for free now in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

If you don’t have a smartphone or prefer to work on a laptop, you can also access Ref Tools via internet browser.
