Resource Data Management celebrated its 20th anniversary
On 8th September 2020, Resource Data Management (RDM) celebrated its 20th anniversary. On this date in the year 2000, CEO Andrew Chandler founded the company with the vision to analyse data from HVACR and other BMS devices to improve the management and efficiency of buildings.

The long-term success stems from visions that shaped the industry as well as innovations in business practices and solutions based on efficiency and connectivity. Connected devices and the Internet of Things (IoT) formed part of the early developments when the term IoT had not even been invented yet. Benefits offered to customers from the start included truly open protocols on RDM devices, free training and a five-year warranty.

From the first remote monitoring solution used by a single client, RDM now offers over 500 hardware and software products for HVAC, refrigeration and building energy control applications. The first solution, now known as remote monitoring software ActiveFM, currently monitors over 8000 sites worldwide.

With environmental concerns being a top priority since the beginning, RDM’s solutions are based on the principle of increasing efficiency which will remain the focus of future research and development efforts.
