Romania’s AGFR joins AREA as new member association


AREA has announced that the Romanian General Association of Refrigeration (AGFR) became a member on 1 January 2026.

AGFR, founded in 1990 and based in Bucharest, is a non-profit association and certification body that brings together engineers, technicians, trainers, educators, and researchers in the refrigeration sector.

Gratiela Tarlea, President of AGFR, stated: “We, the Romanian General Association of Refrigeration, are pleased to bring to AREA our expertise in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heat Pumps, and Renewable Energies, strengthened by over 35 years of experience. We look forward to collaborating with AREA members to jointly support RACHP contractors across Europe.”

With the addition of AGFR, AREA now comprises 26 member associations from 22 countries, including 19 of the 27 EU Member States.
