Sanhua: the Membership of AHRI Applied Sector Leadership Council

Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) announced Sanhua as Leadership Council of Applied Sector, which marks a great milestone for Sanhua’s international influence upon air conditioning and refrigeration.

AHRI Leadership Council of Applied Sector lists world famous HVAC/R industry world-famous enterprises. Sanhua, together with Carrier, Emerson, Danfoss, JCI, Ingersoll Rand, Honeywell, Daikin Applied, Lennox etc. are also on the list.

The council is planned to serve two-year terms ending in November 2020, and its first face-to-face meetings will be at the upcoming Spring Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, which is the first membership-wide event under AHRI’s new Reinvent structure that was approved by the Board of Directors in November 2018. This event will provide important policy s for members. Several certification, regulatory, and technical working groups also will meet to discuss sector- and product-specific issues.

The Leadership Council of Applied Products will focus on promotion of high-efficient and energy-saving technologies such as electronic expansion valve, micro channel heat exchanger, inverter control etc. The council also centers on the advocacy of low-GWP Alternative Refrigerants and energy efficiency standard.

Sanhua Senior VP and Chief Scientist Dr. Huang Lin-jie will attend the first face to face meeting of Leadership Council of Applied Products and join the industry effort in the development of standards, development and advocacy of regulatory and legislative policies.

Last November, AHRI announced Sanhua International Inc. as an International Member company of the Air-Conditioning Heat Transfer Products Section. This is the second products section member since 2016 when Sanhua was approved as an international member of Flow and Contamination Control Products Section. Also in this November, SANHUA was invited to participate in the AHRI 2018 Leadership forum, held in Tucson, US. Together with other internationally renowned companies such as Carrier, Trane, JCI, Rheem and Renault, SANHUA attended AHRI CEO closed reception.

AHRI new reinvent structure was approved by the Board of Directors in Nov 2018. AHRI has been adjusted to four sectors: applied, heating, refrigeration and unitary. Each sector has been divided three working groups, namely, standards committee, advocacy and certification. Each sector is managed by the Leadership council of 25 directors. The role of the AHRI Sector Leadership Councils will be to set the overall strategic direction of each sector and assign activities to task forces and working groups. The Councils also will serve as arbiters of disputes among members of specific task forces and working groups to enable timely completion of tasks.
