Secop GmbH has appointed Dr. Andreas J. Schmid as the new Group CEO
The executive board of Secop GmbH has appointed Dr. Andreas J. Schmid as the new Group CEO. Secop is a specialist in advanced hermetic compressor technologies and cooling solutions in commercial refrigeration. Headquartered in Flensburg, Germany, the company develops high-performance stationary and mobile refrigeration solutions for leading international commercial refrigeration companies.

Dr. Schmid has more than 20 years of international experience as a board member, managing director, and manager. Under his responsibility, the Funkwerk, Schaltbau, and FCT groups have grown sustainably and profitably. In addition to strategic corporate development and the development of new business areas, he has extensive and in-depth know-how in mergers & acquisitions, PMI, portfolio management, lean management, and digitalization.

Dr. Schmid studied physics at Technical University of Munich and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Darmstadt.

Dr. Schmid heads a management board consisting of: Frank Elsen (Chief Financial Officer), Dr. Jan Ehlers (Chief Operation Officer), Dr. Philipp v. Stietencron (Chief Commercial Officer), and Fabricio Possamai (Chief Technology Officer).
