Systemair AB (Sweden) has signed an agreement to acquire NADI Airtechnics Ltd., an Indian manufacturer of engineered industrial fans. The move strengthens Systemair’s position in the industrial ventilation market and expands its presence in India.
NADI Airtechnics, based in Chennai, produces centrifugal blowers, axial fans, railway cooling fans, and specialized ventilation systems for carbon capture and other environmental applications. The company employs over 220 people and reported revenues of approximately EUR 13.5 million (~INR 1,350 million) for the fiscal year 2024/25, with an EBIT margin exceeding Systemair’s 10% target.
According to Systemair CEO Roland Kasper, “This acquisition adds strong industrial fans competence and brings a complementary product range for industrial applications to Systemair. NADI provides us with a leading position in India on industrial fans and the railway segment, with competence and products on high-performance blowers and fans for industrial applications.” He also noted the potential to scale NADI’s offerings in Europe and the US, particularly in the railway and MRT sectors.
NADI was founded by the Kamdar family nearly 70 years ago. Managing Director J B Kamdar commented, “In Systemair, we found a partner that shares our values of quality, customer focus, and integrity. This transition ensures continuity for our customers and employees, while also opening up exciting opportunities for growth and innovation.”
The acquisition agreement was signed with the Kamdar family, with the closing expected in Systemair’s second quarter.
