The New FREOR Factory in Lithuania is Starting Operations

FREOR, a successfully growing export-oriented Baltics manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment, has completed the construction of a new modern 16 300 m2 production plant in Vilnius, Lithuania. Both company‘s business headquarters and production is moving to a brand new FREOR building. The move was planned without stopping the manufacturing process so that we could fulfill customers‘ orders to the best of our abilities.

The new manufacturing site has started operations, having already moved around 90 % of production to the new facility. New production lines have been equipped with state-of-the-art robotic machinery, the modern 350-meter length powder coating line installed, the heat from which will fully be used to heat the facility during the cold season. The modern factory is being equipped with a certified laboratory that will comply with the worldwide standard for refrigerated display cabinets, ISO 23953. The new FREOR plant is scheduled to operate at its full capacity from spring in 2021.

A wide range of refrigerated cabinets, showcases, and freezers will be produced in a new factory, and the company‘s energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly refrigeration solutions will further be developed, following the needs of retailers from small stores to large hypermarkets.

The New Stage of Development of the Company

The new factory marks a new stage of the development of FREOR. It is an important modernization project which will allow a substantial increase in production capacity and will enable us to better meet growing international demand. Modern technological solutions and the implementation of process automation will increase production process efficiency, raise our product quality level, reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. It will also improve working conditions for company employees. Moving to new headquarters also symbolically marks the 20th anniversary of the company.

The new production facility has been built in accordance with the highest sustainability standards and is A+ energy-efficient. The 2 400 m2 are dedicated to the administrative headquarters’ building. The modern company office includes a sports area and a staff canteen, and workplaces are equipped with adjustable height desks for employee convenience.

The plant is situated near the Vilnius airport, by the intersection of Liepkalnis and Katiliskiu streets, in a logistically convenient location for carrier companies. The new location address is: Katiliskiu St. 92, LT-02212 Vilnius, Lithuania.
