Viessmann acquires IAC Vestcold As in Norway

The Viessmann Group takes over IAC Vestcold As, a well-established refrigeration installation and service partner in Norway. IAC offers full range of services covering all areas of air-conditioning and ventilation technology, industrial and commercial refrigeration, cold storage construction, as well as the sales and distribution of refrigerated cabinets. IAC Vestcold has been Viessmann’s refrigeration partner for 20 years and with the acquisition the Norwegian customers will have full support from the planning stage through to implementation and maintenance of the projects from Viessmann. Both sides have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
"We are delighted that our long-term cooperation has resulted in joining our skills and competencies in commercial refrigeration for the benefit of our customers. Together we will be able to offer even more comprehensive turnkey solutions for their needs and develop our product and service offering further. This acquisition is a continuation of our strategy in becoming a full refrigeration solutions provider in sustainable refrigeration for the benefit of the future generations” says Frank Winters, CEO of Refrigeration Solutions at Viessmann.
Jan Harald Eriksen, Managing Director of IAC Vestcold As comments: ”We have long cooperation with Viessmann in refrigeration services and have always felt that we work as one team. Joining our skills together was a natural continuation of our partnership, because there is a strong need for refrigeration technology especially due to the F-gas regulatory changes in Norway and customers request for turnkey solutions from one source. In Viessmann we can grow our service capabilities even further and have a reliable and strategically important partner to be able to fulfill this.”
IAC Vestcold As is located in Stokke, Norway, and the company operations cover the regions of Vestfold, Telemark and Buskerud in Norway. IAC is F-gas certified service partner with high focus on the environment. Already 10 years ago the company did their first CO2 installations and today over 95% of their installations are done with CO2 and natural refrigerants. IAC employs 34 refrigeration experts focusing on premium 24/7 customer service.
Viessmann Refrigeration Systems As provides commercial refrigeration solutions for the Norwegian market including customers in food retail, food services, food and beverage industry and health care.
