Viessmann to Acquire KPS Global LLC, Expanding Clean & Cold Platform

Viessmann Generations Group has signed an agreement to acquire KPS Global LLC from D Cubed Group. The transaction, expected to close within the next 90 days, marks a significant strategic expansion for Viessmann’s Clean & Cold platform in the North American market.

KPS Global, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is a leading provider of walk-in solutions and services for cold chain and non-refrigerated environments in markets such as food, retail, and scientific. The company also supplies a variety of replacement equipment and aftermarket parts, including doors, strip curtains, and sweeps. Over recent years, KPS Global has expanded into non-food retail sectors, gaining customers in pharmaceuticals, blood banks, agriculture, and battery dry rooms.

Renowned for its innovation, KPS Global has revolutionized customized food retail walk-in solutions, helping customers reduce their carbon footprint and meet sustainability objectives. The company's patented panel technology decreases cooling demand, energy consumption, and food waste. KPS Global will continue operating through its strategically located five manufacturing facilities, ensuring uninterrupted service.

The acquisition will significantly bolster Viessmann’s Clean & Cold platform. Viessmann’s involvement in this sector began in 1974 with the production of cold rooms in Hof, Germany. Today, the European Clean & Cold platform is a leading supplier of cold room solutions for food service and healthcare applications. In 2023, Viessmann entered the North American market with the acquisition of BMIL Technologies, a North Carolina-based system integrator specializing in industrial and commercial refrigeration.

By integrating KPS Global, Viessmann aims to leverage mutual expertise and drive both organic and inorganic growth, enhancing their Clean & Cold offerings in North America and beyond.
