Zoetic Global and Verdana Join Forces to Tackle Urban Cooling Amid Climate Change Crisis

Zoetic Global and Verdana International have announced a comprehensive solution aimed at reducing air conditioning-related energy costs and emissions. The partnership was revealed during the opening of Zoetic's refrigerant plant in Youngstown. The initiative involves replacing existing refrigerants with Zoetic Refrigerants, managing emissions digitally, and processing carbon credit claims effectively.

"Urban heat zones are putting tremendous pressure on real estate operators," said Avery Hong, Co-Founder and CEO of Zoetic Global. "The surge in cooling needs has led to increased power bills and higher carbon emissions. Our solution involves quickly replacing current refrigerants with Zoetic products without requiring equipment changes or modifications, thereby minimizing capital expenditures and operational disruptions."

Integrated Urban Cooling Solution

Zoetic Refrigerants-equipped cooling units will connect to Verdana's AI engine, enabling continuous assessment and variance analytics for both management and carbon credit purposes. Verdana is collaborating with the World Bank to offer city-wide digital validation and verification for its Low Carbon City Project in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The deployment of Zoetic Refrigerants in this project will reduce turnaround times for emissions reduction interventions.

Asad Sultan, CEO of Verdana International, highlighted the broader vision: "We plan to replicate this model across Southeast Asia and the Americas. Climate change is evident and urgent. Our robust urban carbon management system aggregates emission management projects city-wide, fully compliant with UNFCCC CDM carbon credit methodologies."

Modular Production and Global Impact

Zoetic's modular refrigerant production system, showcased at the Youngstown plant, demonstrates the company's commitment to local production. These units can be fabricated, shipped, installed, and operated globally. "Localizing production reduces transportation costs and carbon emissions and brings economic benefits to our partners' communities. This is our approach to addressing the severe temperature and climatic changes impacting cities worldwide," added Hong.

The collaboration between Zoetic Global and Verdana International marks a significant step toward sustainable urban cooling solutions, aiming to alleviate the burden of rising cooling demands and contribute to global carbon reduction efforts.
