Airzone Launches Three New Aidoo Pro Models for North American Market

New Zigbee, Ethernet, and Smart Thermostat Interface models expand HVAC integration options.

Airzone Control has expanded its Aidoo Pro product line with three new HVAC control models tailored to the North American market: Aidoo Zigbee, Aidoo Pro Smart Thermostat Interface (STI), and Aidoo Pro Hub. These additions are designed to enhance integration of Inverter (VRF / mini-split) systems with smart thermostats and home or building automation platforms.

The Aidoo product line addresses the growing demand for flexible HVAC control solutions compatible with energy-efficient systems. Inverter-based HVAC units are increasingly popular due to their performance and energy savings, but they typically require a third-party interface to connect with smart controls. Airzone’s Aidoo Pro models bridge this gap, offering native integration with leading manufacturers and protocols.

Product Overview

The Aidoo Zigbee model supports Zigbee 3.0 smart home ecosystems and includes Modbus RS-485 connectivity for direct communication with HVAC systems. As a constantly powered Zigbee node, it also functions as a repeater to strengthen the network.

The Aidoo Pro STI is designed for streamlined connection between Inverter AHUs and smart thermostats. It is powered via a standard 24V transformer used by thermostats, eliminating the need for an additional power supply, and is optimized for residential settings with limited space.

The Aidoo Pro Hub offers wired Ethernet connectivity, targeting commercial and hospitality environments that require robust and secure connections. It supports BACnet protocol, ensuring compatibility with building automation systems where RF reliability may be compromised.

Market Context

Each new Aidoo model enhances compatibility across a range of integration scenarios. The full Aidoo lineup now supports Zigbee, Z-Wave, KNX, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and smart thermostat platforms, giving engineers and integrators a comprehensive suite of tools for HVAC automation.

“The world of building automation is expanding, and the Aidoo line is growing to keep pace. We are committed to providing purpose-built solutions for leading open and closed protocols, as well as simple standards-based connectivity options,” said Victoria Garcia Massimo, Director of North American Operations at Airzone. “No matter how you approach building automation or HVAC integration, there is an Aidoo that works for your design.”
