Alfa Laval has introduced the TS25, a new semi-welded plate heat exchanger designed to meet rising energy efficiency and scalability demands in clean energy and industrial process sectors.
The TS25 expands Alfa Laval’s existing semi-welded range, drawing on decades of operational experience. It is engineered for applications with strict pressure drop limitations, including electrolyser cooling, sulphuric acid production, and industrial heat pumps. Its compact design allows increased capacity within a smaller footprint.
The unit is equipped with advanced sealing technology and enhanced mechanical durability. These features support extended operational lifetimes and improved energy recovery, which can help reduce the levelized cost of hydrogen production and improve overall system performance in heavy-duty industrial environments.
According to Alfa Laval, the TS25 is suited for both clean energy initiatives, such as hydrogen production, and traditional process industries requiring robust, space-efficient heat exchange solutions.
“With the TS25 semi-welded, we are further advancing plate heat exchanger technology to support the transforming energy landscape,” said Julien Gennetier, Vice President Energy Division at Alfa Laval. “Scaling up energy efficiency in clean energy production and process industries requires solutions that performs under pressure.”
By offering increased reliability and efficiency in a compact format, the TS25 aims to address critical challenges in energy and process system design.
