Area Cooling Solutions extends the R744 product portfolio iCOOL 22 and 30 CO2

Area Cooling Solutions extended its R744 product portfolio with two new models, suitable solutions for commercial refrigeration applications, such as retail shops, decentralized supermarkets, food processing, and cold storage applications.

iCOOL 22 CO2, based on a 2-stage rotary Panasonic BLDC, reaches 22 kW @-10ºC/+32ºC at full capacity, with a 33-100% modulation range. Extended capacity regulation and active oil management system ensure stable operation in installations with up to 12 evaporators. Application of internal heat exchanger involves liquid subcooling and provides a maximum installation length of up to 50 m.

iCOOL 30 CO2 MT is the newest transcritical CO2 unit based on a tandem of Panasonic two-stage BLDC inverter compressors. It provides 30,2 kW @-10ºC/+32ºC at full capacity, with a step-less 25-100% modulation range. Each BLDC compressor is equipped with two oil-level sensors. Smart oil management system, managed by the main controller. Customized software to secure suitable lubrication of the system.

iCOOL 30 CO2 MT is the biggest compact CO2 unit based on the tandem of hermetic compressors on the market.

Key features of iCOOL 22 and 30 CO2 MT:

• High energy savings and wide capacity modulation.
• Compact unit. Small diameters and low weight for this capacity range.
• Low noise design, acoustic insulation of the compressor compartment,
• Easy commissioning: simple user interface, easily accessible service panel, and
reduced commissioning time.
• AI and IoT integration with AREA's remote control, which allows us to know in real-time the different operating parameters of the unit and implement a preventive maintenance plan.

iCOOL 22 and 30 CO2 MT are the perfect solutions for decentralized medium size cooling systems. The redundancy of the cooling units provides the increased safety of the installation and better parameterization of the evaporators, improving the final product’s quality.
