Carrier Solutions UK has unveiled its latest innovation, the AquaSnap 30AWH-P monobloc air-to-water heat pump, designed to meet the heating and cooling needs of residential and light commercial applications. This cutting-edge product leverages the ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) R290 refrigerant (propane) to deliver superior efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The AquaSnap 30AWH-P uses R290, a natural refrigerant with an extremely low GWP, achieving a 99.999% reduction in CO2 equivalent emissions compared to traditional refrigerants like R410A. In addition to its sustainability, R290 offers higher energy efficiency, reducing energy consumption and associated costs. The unit achieves a high SCOP of up to 4.82 and SEER of up to 5.34, ensuring year-round efficiency in heating and cooling.
The AquaSnap 30AWH-P series is available in single-phase (4 to 14 kW) and three-phase (12 to 14 kW) models. It supports a variety of emitter types, from low-temperature underfloor heating to high-temperature radiator systems. For light commercial applications, the heat pump can be cascaded up to four units or integrated into hybrid systems, making it ideal for a range of scenarios.
The launch aligns with Carrier’s 2030 sustainability objectives, including helping customers avoid over 1 gigaton of greenhouse gas emissions.
