CCR Upgrades CO₂OLTEC Range with Enhanced Efficiency and Serviceability

New generation includes smarter diagnostics, easier servicing, and wider capacities.

CCR Commercial Refrigeration (former Carrier Commercial Refrigeration) has introduced a major upgrade to its CO₂OLTEC refrigeration range, improving efficiency, reliability, and serviceability across its MiniCO₂OL and MaxiCO₂OL platforms. First launched in 2010, the CO₂OLTEC line has seen thousands of installations worldwide.

The MiniCO₂OL now offers cooling capacities up to 380 kW (approx. 1.08 million BTU/h) for medium temperature (MT) applications and 110 kW (approx. 314,500 BTU/h) for low temperature (LT). The MaxiCO₂OL platform supports up to 550 kW (approx. 1.57 million BTU/h) MT and 360 kW (approx. 1.02 million BTU/h) LT. Both systems operate with CO2 (R-744) as a natural refrigerant and can be configured with LSPM compressors, vapor and liquid ejectors, parallel compression, and heat reclaim features.

Usability improvements include a redesigned instrumentation panel that centralizes sensors and pressure gauges for easier access. The suction line layout has also been optimized to simplify maintenance. Each unit is delivered with fully pre-set instrumentation and enhanced factory testing to reduce on-site commissioning time.

The upgrade also adds the IQ module for compressors, enabling remote diagnostics and monitoring. This feature supports predictive maintenance strategies and reduces unplanned downtime.

With these updates, the CO₂OLTEC range continues to meet the sector’s growing demand for high-performance, low-carbon refrigeration systems.
