Copeland, a global leader in sustainable climate solutions, has introduced its latest innovation, the Verdant VX4 smart thermostat. The new model promises significant HVAC runtime reductions and advanced demand response capabilities, catering to commercial and multifamily properties with its sleek, modern design featuring fingerprint-resistant glass.
The Verdant VX4 is available in both the North American and European markets. It autonomously adjusts the temperature in unoccupied rooms to optimize energy use without compromising occupant comfort.
“This next-generation smart thermostat model offers the same plug-and-play solution as our VX3 model that has helped customers achieve an average of 45% reduction in HVAC runtime, but with a sleeker, more modern design,” said Michael Serour, Vice President and General Manager, Verdant for Copeland. “In hospitality environments, cleanliness is paramount to retaining customers, and the new design with fingerprint-resistant glass provides an anti-smudge surface to achieve a cleaner look.”
With an install base exceeding 7,000 hospitality and multifamily properties across North America, Verdant’s smart thermostats are proven to achieve substantial energy savings. Copeland’s VX3 and ZX models recently received ENERGY STAR certification in the U.S. and Canada, and the new VX4 model is pending similar certification.
Verdant’s advanced occupancy- and thermal-sensing technologies, combined with real-time analytics, ensure optimal energy settings, maximizing cost savings for operators while maintaining guest comfort.
