Daikin Australia Launches New R32 Floor Standing Units

Daikin Australia has introduced its latest floor standing split system that utilizes R32 refrigerant, known for its lower Global Warming Potential compared to R410A. This new series includes six models with capacities from 2.5kW to 6.7kW, featuring a compact design (600H x 750W x 238D mm) suitable for placement under window sills or semi-recessing into unused fireplaces.

Enhanced Heating Capabilities

Tailored for Australia's colder regions, the new floor standing units offer up to a 19% improvement in heating capacity at 2°C ambient temperatures over R410A models. The Heat Boost function accelerates room heating by reaching setpoint 14% faster, while the Heat Plus mimics traditional radiator warmth, providing a quieter heating experience for 30 minutes. Additionally, the Floor Warming function ensures even heat distribution from the base of the unit.

Advanced Indoor Air Quality

Equipped with Daikin Streamer Technology, these units excel in indoor air quality by discharging high-speed electrons, effectively eliminating over 99.6% of pollen in 2 hours, 99.9% of mould in 24 hours, and 99.61% of allergens in 24 hours. The Mould-Proof Operation mode activates at the end of cooling or drying operations to dry the indoor heat exchanger and prevent mould growth.

User-Friendly Features

The new units feature the Daikin Eye display for easy mode identification through multi-coloured LEDs. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity also permits convenient access to functions via the Daikin Mobile Controller app.

These innovations underscore Daikin Australia's commitment to delivering efficient, user-friendly, and environmentally conscious heating and cooling solutions.
