Daikin launches OTERRA 115V single-zone heat pump with flareless adaptor

Daikin has introduced its OTERRA single-zone heat pump in a new 115V model, offering a solution for installations where 208/230V circuits are not feasible. The system includes the new Daikin SIGNA flareless adaptor, aimed at simplifying copper pipe connections during installation.

The OTERRA 115V units are designed to streamline both installation and maintenance. They operate on a 15A circuit breaker occupying one slot in the main panel and feature Daikin inverter technology for efficient performance. Cooling is supported from 50°F to 115°F (10°C to 46°C), and heating from 5°F to 65°F (-15°C to 18°C). Indoor sound levels reach as low as 25 dB(A), with outdoor units at 46 dB(A).

Maintenance features include detachable drain pans, anti-corrosion treated cooling coils, automatic defrost cycles, and Daikin ONE home app compatibility for service alerts. The system uses R-32 refrigerant, which is a pure, single-component, low-GWP refrigerant designed for ease of top-off, reuse, or reclamation on-site.

The indoor units include washable filters, a flat panel design, and wide-angle louvers for airflow. Functional modes include Quick Warming, Program Dry, ECONO Mode, and Powerful Operation. The units are Wi-Fi capable and support app-based control, as well as wireless infrared remote operation.

Available capacities range from 0.75 to 1 ton, with heating outputs of 9,000 to 12,000 BTU/h. Units are pre-charged for up to 50 ft (15.2 m) of refrigerant piping and are covered by Daikin’s 12-Year Parts Limited Warranty.
