Diversified Heat Transfer Unveils New SPC Liquid to Liquid Cooling Heat Exchanger for Medical Applications

Diversified Heat Transfer, Inc. (DHT), a leader in heat transfer equipment engineering and manufacturing, has launched the SPC Liquid to Liquid Cooling Heat Exchanger, a compact, high-efficiency cooling solution for medical, industrial, and HVAC applications.

An extension of the company’s SuperPlate (SP) Series, the SPC cooling system addresses advanced cooling requirements for critical healthcare technologies, including MRI machines, CT and PET scanners, Electron Microscopes, and Linear Accelerators. The system is also suitable for industrial and campus cooling applications.

“The SPC requires no storage tanks, and with its compact footprint, it is ideal for both new and retrofit installations where space can be an issue,” said Chris Bove, DHT’s National Sales Manager. “DHT has decades of experience meeting the heating and cooling needs of hospitals, medical centers, and research labs, so adding a liquid-to-liquid cooling solution to our portfolio was a natural progression.”

Key Features and Capabilities

The SPC Series Liquid Cooler offers:

  • High Efficiency: Supports cooling flow rates of up to 90 GPM, depending on operating temperatures.
  • Precise Control: Features real-time load tracking with temperature control accuracy of +/- 2°F.
  • Durability: Designed for a maximum water pressure of 150 PSIG.
  • Versatility: Adjustable temperature control set points to suit diverse operating environments.

This brazed plate packaged cooling system eliminates the need for bulky storage tanks, making it well-suited for facilities with limited space. The SPC Series leverages responsive controls to maintain accurate cooling temperatures under varying load conditions.
