Emerson Launches Bluetooth Logger for Cold Chain Applications

Emerson announced at the Asia Fruit Logistica convention the release of its latest product offering, the GO Bluetooth Plus Logger. The GO Bluetooth Plus Logger utilizes a mobile app to deliver temperature, humidity and pulp temperature data of perishable products in pre-cooling and in-transit scenarios. The product features two probe options, enabling customers to read internal temperatures of a wide variety of perishable products.

Once a shipment reaches its intended destination, temperature monitoring data captured from the GO Bluetooth Logger is transferred wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled Android and iOS phones and tablets via the GO BT Reader mobile application. Data is received up to 30 meters (100 feet) away, eliminating the need for proprietary readers and software. The mobile app enables quick access to information, which is ideal for monitoring internal temperatures of products on international shipments where third-party locations are unable to install reading equipment. Receiving locations can easily view critical temperature data directly from their mobile phone and can distribute reports to key stakeholders via the share feature in both a PDF or CSV format.

“This newest product with probe functionality provides our customers the extra level of temperature monitoring they are seeking in a logger,” said Frank Landwehr, vice president and general manager, Cargo Solutions for Emerson. “The simplicity of this small, compact logger coupled with the efficient use of Bluetooth technology makes this a user-friendly solution.”
