ENGIE Refrigeration launches redesigned air-cooled PENSUM AIR series

ENGIE Refrigeration GmbH is starting the year with a brand-new product: From 20 January 2020, the redesigned air-cooled PENSUM AIR series is available on the international market. The chiller impresses with especially high efficiency in medium performance ranges and is ideally suited for use in mid-sized office buildings and public institutions.

ENGIE Refrigeration is offering its customers a future-proof investment, as the PENSUM AIR already meets the future requirements of the F-gas Regulation 2030 and the Tier 2 Ecodesign Directive.

To start off the year, ENGIE Refrigeration is setting a new standard on the refrigeration market. The overhauled air-cooled PENSUM AIR series from the Lindau-based refrigeration and heating specialist has a performance range between 50 and 400 kilowatts, making it a refrigeration solution that is unique in this market segment.

This is because the redesigned PENSUM AIR uses the future-proof refrigerant R-454B, which has a low GWP value of 466. That means it already falls below the average GWP of <500, the value that the F-gas Regulation stipulates from 2030.

Due to its good consumption values, the PENSUM AIR also already meets the requirements of the Ecodesign Directive for Tier 2, which will come into force on 1 January 2021. In addition, the chiller also has an innovative design and a revised configuration.

The PENSUM AIR now has a new compressor, for example, which makes this chiller even more efficient than its predecessor; its efficiency is particularly high under partial loads.

The PENSUM AIR is also available in four different lines: Basic Cool, Free Cool, Super Silent and Reversible Heat, each with up to 18 models. Each chiller includes the most important specific options as standard and is therefore ready for the customer to use upon delivery. ENGIE Refrigeration also offers extensive add-ons for the PENSUM AIR. Depending on their requirements, customers can choose specific configuration packages as well as a range of warranty and service options, for example.

Groundbreaking refrigeration solutions for every need

ENGIE Refrigeration is consistently pursuing its growth strategy with the new PENSUM AIR; just last June, the refrigeration and heating specialist redesigned the air-cooled QUANTUM Air series. Next, ENGIE Refrigeration will start overhauling its water-cooled Pensum chillers, which will be launched over the course of 2020 as well.
