Evapco Introduces eco-Air Titan Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger for Large-Scale Applications

Evapco has launched the eco-Air Titan, a field-erected air-cooled heat exchanger designed for power generation, carbon capture, heavy industrial applications, and data centers. The new solution integrates Evapco’s proven finned tube bundles with large-diameter, high-efficiency fans, providing substantial cooling capacity in a compact footprint.

The eco-Air Titan builds on the eco-Air Series product line, which has seen over 1,000 installations since 2017. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element heat transfer analysis, Evapco engineers have optimized the finned coil design to enhance performance. The heat exchanger features Type 304L stainless steel tubing with aluminum fins as standard, complying with ASME B31.5 piping code. An optional epoxy coating is available for corrosion protection.

Key benefits of the eco-Air Titan include:

  • Reduced Power Consumption – Large fans and pressure recovery fan stacks improve energy efficiency.
  • Lower Maintenance Needs – Fewer fans and stainless steel tubing reduce service requirements.
  • Smaller Footprint – A V-shaped fin/tube bundle arrangement optimizes airflow and site flexibility.
  • Flexible Sound Attenuation – Fewer fans and optional low-noise blade designs help meet noise regulations.
  • Improved Recirculation Resistance – Optimized unit geometry minimizes heat recirculation effects.

The eco-Air Titan represents the next evolution in Evapco’s dry cooling technology, incorporating advancements in thermal heat transfer and efficiency.
