Frascold brings innovation to Chillventa 2024 for every need

Frascold – a leading player in the development, production and marketing of semi-hermetic piston and screw compressors for the refrigeration, air conditioning and air heating industry – renews its commitment to innovation each year through solutions that combine performance, efficiency and sustainability.
With the theme, “Your choice, our commitment”, Frascold presents four new series of compressors for use with natural refrigerants at Chillventa 2024, the international event planned for 8-10 October 2024 in Nuremberg.

The display is in pavilion 6, stand 6-312 and have three distinct sections: an R&D Area, where attendees are able to see the systems being developed, a Hot Area, with solutions for high temperatures and, lastly, a Cold Area, with compressors for low temperatures.
The company, with its sustainable vision and thanks to the use of low GWP refrigerants, offers products that cover a broad range of temperatures, from the coldest to the hottest, whilst ensuring superior performance both in extremely high temperature heat pumps and in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Frascold compressors are designed to deliver safety and reliability, even under the most demanding of conditions, meeting every market need.

Review of the Frascold at Chillventa 2024

In the R&D Area you can discover the latest news about Frascold prototypes. The Magnetic screw compressor is placed in a prominent position. It is equipped with the innovative permanent magnet motor, for the greatest regulation efficiency under partial loads, with 2Vi, in order to adapt to different load conditions, and is ATEX certified so it can be used with all HC refrigerants. The volumetric displacement is up to 800 m³/h, whilst the power of the electric motor is up to 250 HP. Also on display is the range extension of the TK HD series for transcritical CO2 in size Z, with volumetric displacement from 58 to 80 m3/h and the power of the electric motor up to 160 HP, for use in boosters and industrial heat pumps. Lastly the new CO2 STK two-stage series, available in three sizes divided into 11 models, and ideal for operations at low evaporation temperatures in subcritical and transcritical conditions, offers first-stage volumetric displacement from 1.5 to 13 m3/h, with motor power from 3 to 30 HP.
In the Cold Area, the star is the screw compressor for sectioned FVR refrigeration. Whilst in the Hot Area we find the size Z of the ATEX HT series, designed for use in air-water heat pumps, producing domestic hot water up to 80°C, and the new models for the piston compressor series in size W, both in a standard and in an ATEX-certified version. This latest range extension covers volumetric displacement from 259 to 284 m3/h with motors up to 100 HP, ideal for use in the industrial sector.

Frascold confirms its commitment to offering advanced solutions capable of promoting energy efficiency and reducing total emissions of CO2, both from direct and indirect emissions. A focus that reflects the company’s long-term vision.
