New chiller series focuses on alternative refrigerants and sustainable manufacturing
G&D Chillers has launched the Elite 290 Microseries, a new compact chiller line designed for high efficiency and low environmental impact. The series features alternative refrigerant technology and reflects G&D’s commitment to sustainability and U.S.-based manufacturing. The new model was recently installed at New Belgium Brewing.
The Elite 290 Microseries is optimized for small-scale industrial applications and utilizes propane-based refrigerants to minimize carbon emissions. This marks a key expansion in G&D’s glycol and alternative refrigerant-based product offerings. The installation at New Belgium Brewing highlights the system’s performance in a working commercial brewery environment.
“Temperature control is crucial in the upgrading process,” said Scott Timms, Chief Operating Officer at G&D Chillers. “Our chillers are engineered to maintain the precise temperatures needed for maximum biogas production, even in the harsh environments these facilities are often located in.”
As part of its sustainability initiatives, G&D Chillers continues development with A2L refrigerants to improve energy efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint of industrial chilling systems.
The company’s latest efforts across brewing, energy, and training highlight its long-term investment in eco-conscious technologies and customer-focused support.
