G&D Chillers, an Ingersoll Rand company, has launched the SUMMIT AIR Series of US-built air-cooled chillers for commercial HVAC applications. The range uses R-454B refrigerant and is available in capacities from 20 to 200 tons (approximately 70 to 703 kW).
The series includes 11 standard models, from GD-20T-2 through GD-200T-6. The units feature tandem scroll compressors, variable-speed EC condenser fans, remote diagnostics and native BACnet and Modbus integration for building automation systems.
According to the company, R-454B is A2L-compliant and has a global warming potential below the 700 GWP limit stated in the EPA AIM Act requirements for new commercial HVAC equipment. All models are designed to meet ASHRAE 90.1-2025 efficiency requirements.
The chillers use a vertical-coil, rooftop-ready configuration and non-proprietary parts. G&D Chillers said the units are built at its headquarters in Junction City, Oregon, and can ship within weeks.
Applications include commercial office and mixed-use buildings, education, healthcare and medical offices, data centers, colocation facilities, industrial process cooling and legacy chiller replacement.
“Our reputation was built in environments where failure isn't an option — and that standard doesn't change because the application is a commercial building,” said Justin Thomas, General Manager, G&D Chillers. “Our new SUMMIT AIR™ Series is engineered with the same continuous-duty mindset we've applied for three decades, backed by a service team that is as accessible as we are experienced.”
