Hussmann, a Panasonic company, has introduced new reach-in merchandisers equipped with Microblock Technology. The RLN-A and RMN-A units are designed for medium- and low-temperature applications and feature a top-mounted refrigeration system intended to simplify installation and service.
The Microblock system is a self-contained refrigeration unit pre-charged with propane (R-290). It integrates the compressor, condenser, and evaporator in a compact design, eliminating the need for additional piping. According to Hussmann, this configuration allows for plug-and-play installation.
The RLN-A and RMN-A models can be used as stand-alone units or installed in lineups with acrylic partitions. They are available in two-, three-, four-, and five-door configurations, offering different merchandising options while maintaining product visibility.
The system uses R-290 with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3, aligning with federal and state regulations. As part of Hussmann’s Evolve Technologies portfolio, the company positions these models as a sustainable solution for both small and large retail formats.
