JULABO USA Expands Natural Refrigerant Lineup to Meet Demand for Low-GWP Solutions

JULABO USA has expanded its range of refrigerated circulators and recirculating chillers using natural refrigerants with lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The move responds to growing demand for environmentally friendly liquid temperature control solutions.

The expansion includes the launch of the VALEGRO product line and the MAGIO MS-1000FF refrigerated circulator. Together, these additions bring the company’s natural refrigerant offerings to a total of twelve models, available in various combinations. The units cover a performance range from 200 watts to 2.5 kW (0.27 to 3.35 hp), offering energy-efficient options across different application needs. Designed for laboratories, the new chillers are also compact, helping save space.

Dr. Dirk Frese, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Service at JULABO USA, commented: “We see this as an exciting new chapter for our industry - one that motivates us to apply our expertise toward smart, sustainable innovation. As regulations evolve and expectations shift, we remain focused on what we do best: delivering reliable, high-performance products that our customers can count on - now engineered with a smaller carbon footprint. We call it ‘power with conscience.’”

As part of its adaptable service approach, the company continues to offer the JULABO Subscription service. This financing model provides flexible, cost-effective access to equipment, supporting customers as they adapt to changing regulations.

JULABO USA’s expanded use of natural refrigerants reflects global efforts to reduce the environmental impact of refrigeration. The new product offerings are aimed at meeting rising demand for sustainable alternatives in temperature control, aligning with both regulatory requirements and environmental goals.
