Liebherr USA launches new high-performance lab refrigerators and freezers

Liebherr USA, Co., Refrigerators and Freezers Division, has introduced a new range of high-performance refrigerators and freezers developed for use in research facilities and laboratories. The appliances are designed to support the demanding needs of biotechnology and pharmaceutical research by offering durability, hygiene, and long-term storage for temperature-sensitive materials.

The new line features seamless chrome-nickel steel interiors and is available in nine configurations, including both solid and glass door models. These options allow laboratories to select the model that best fits their specific operational requirements.

All models in the series are ENERGY STAR 2.0 certified, meeting current energy efficiency standards aimed at reducing operational costs while maintaining performance and reliability.

Temperature stability is a key focus of the new generation. Liebherr states that the refrigerators maintain temperatures with a fluctuation of ±2 °C, while the freezers offer ±4 °C stability. This level of precision supports the storage of high-value or sensitive materials.

"Reliable cooling performance with precise temperature regulation is essential in research applications," said Aaron Stout, Sales Manager at Liebherr USA, Co. "With this new product line, we are not only providing robust and hygienic storage solutions but also delivering the temperature stability and safety features that our customers depend on to protect their critical work."

Each unit includes safety features such as the SafetyDevice, which activates if temperatures drop below +2 °C to prevent freezing, and SmartLock, which secures the door during an alarm event. Additional features include multi-level alarms for system faults and temperature deviations, and WiFi/LAN connectivity for integration into facility networks and digital temperature monitoring.
