METUS extended lineup for the SUZ universal outdoor unit with H2i technology

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS), the exclusive provider of Zoned Comfort Solutions and a leading supplier of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heating and cooling systems, unveils an extended lineup for the SUZ universal outdoor unit with Hyper-Heating INVERTER (H2i) technology, with the addition of three new sizes: 24,000, 30,000 and 36,000 BTU/H.

The SUZ with H2i technology delivers indoor comfort in extreme cold weather conditions maintaining performance at outdoor temperatures as low as -13 degrees Fahrenheit. At 5 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors, the system can deliver up to 100% of its rated heating capacity. Also available in 9,000, 12,000, 15,000 and 18,000 BTU/H capacities, the single zone outdoor unit is part of the M-Series product line from METUS including indoor units, outdoor units and controls for residential and light commercial applications.

“We’re pleased to add three new sizes to the SUZ outdoor unit H2i lineup for heating larger spaces more efficiently, without the need for fossil fuels, while still being able to provide the required heating capacity at very low ambient temperatures,” says Mitul Patel, director of residential product management, Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US. “At METUS, we’re constantly envisioning new ways to provide our customers with solutions to meet their specific comfort needs and we’re excited to offer these additions to one of our most successful residential lineups.”

Key features of the 24, 30 and 36 KBTU/H units include the following:

  • Compatibility with two ducted indoor units: PEAD mid-static unit and SVZ multi-position air handler unit
  • Built-in base heater
  • Heating operation range of -13 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Cooling operation range of 23 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit
