MHI Thermal Systems to Launch New "Ene-Conductor" EC-8 Model This Spring

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd. (MHI Thermal Systems) will introduce a new model of its "Ene-Conductor" Heat Source Control System this spring. The new EC-8 model expands control capabilities to up to eight centrifugal chillers, improving energy efficiency for large-scale facilities, particularly overseas.

The Ene-Conductor system integrates control of centrifugal chillers, chilled water pumps, cooling water pumps, and cooling towers. Leveraging MHI’s expertise in centrifugal chillers, the system optimizes air conditioning operation, achieving a power consumption reduction of up to 26%. The packaged solution also simplifies system design and installation, allowing it to be added to existing facilities without requiring major equipment upgrades.

Expanded Features for International Markets

The new EC-8 model is designed to support both individual and multiple pump systems, commonly used in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Additionally, it now includes the BACnet communication protocol, alongside Modbus®, enabling real-time data exchange with higher-level supervisory control devices. This enhances system responsiveness while reducing wiring requirements, making installation and management easier.

Commitment to Carbon Neutrality

MHI Thermal Systems, as part of MHI Group’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2040, continues to develop solutions that reduce CO₂ emissions in customer facilities. With a strong presence in air conditioning, factory cooling, and district heating and cooling, the company aims to support energy-efficient operations worldwide.

By expanding its Ene-Conductor lineup, MHI Thermal Systems reinforces its commitment to energy-saving technologies and sustainability in global cooling infrastructure.
