Modine, a global leader in thermal management technology, has announced the release of its new EVantage Electric Compressor and Valve Product Lines. These new components are designed to endure the harsh conditions and high vibrations characteristic of heavy-duty electric vehicles (EVs).
The EVantage High Voltage (HV) Electric Compressor is a key addition, ensuring consistent performance in EVs by conditioning the coolant for battery packs and cabin HVAC systems. It's lightweight, durable, and resistant to environmental hazards like dust and corrosion.
Additionally, the EVantage 3-Way Coolant Valve offers a compact solution for efficient coolant flow to essential EV components. Its three 28mm ports facilitate the cooling of battery packs, power electronics, and other vehicle subsystems.
“Our new EVantage Electric Components have been purpose-built for the harsh, high vibration environments experienced by Commercial EVs to provide high reliability and high durability operation,” stated Gina Maria Bonini, Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Thermal Systems at Modine. “Our goal was to design a suite of products to keep Commercial EVs on the road through long days and extreme conditions.”
Both products are compatible with 12V and 24V systems and have been rigorously tested to ensure they can withstand the most demanding conditions faced by commercial EVs.
