Nortek DCC launches skidded CDU solution for hyperscale liquid cooling

Nortek Data Center Cooling (Nortek DCC), a Madison Air Company based in the US, has introduced a new Skidded Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) designed for high-density AI, HPC, and hyperscale deployments. The system supports capacities from 2 MW to over 5 MW and is engineered for scalability beyond 10 MW with modular configurations.

The skidded CDU targets the growing demand for liquid cooling in data centers as power densities increase. The solution offers a configurable, open-frame platform with options for custom piping, valves, and service access, allowing for greater deployment speed, reduced on-site labor, and simplified maintenance. The CDU includes variable-speed pumps, redundancy options (N, 2N, N+1), and supports group control for multi-unit installations.

The product was developed by Nortek DCC’s C-Force engineering team, which provides customer support from design to commissioning.

“As data centers move to liquid cooling, we are seeing a shift to move faster, scale smarter, and keep things simple,” said Thomas Steen, CTO of Nortek DCC.

Separately, Nortek DCC announced the deployment of its StatePoint Liquid Cooling Technology at Empyrion Digital’s KR1 Gangnam Data Centre in Seoul, South Korea. The 29.4 MW facility, designed for AI workloads, features a PUE of 1.3 and WUE of 1.6. The modular system supports direct-to-chip and rear-door liquid cooling, and reinforces Nortek DCC’s expansion in the Asian hyperscale market.

“We are proud to partner with Empyrion Digital to deploy StatePoint at their Gangnam facility,” said Karin Overstreet, CEO of Nortek DCC.
