Rheem has expanded its Renaissance Commercial Classic Plus Packaged Heat Pump line with 3- to 10-ton units (approx. 10.6 to 35.2 kW) designed to improve efficiency, streamline installation and enhance serviceability for contractors while adding value for building owners.
The RHPCYC and RHPDYC units are available now and feature up to three stages of cooling and two stages of heat pump heating. The 3- to 5-ton models (approx. 10.6 to 17.6 kW) deliver up to 11 EER2, 16.1 SEER2 and 7.2 HSPF2. The 6.5- to 10-ton models (approx. 22.9 to 35.2 kW) achieve up to 12 EER, 17.6 IEER, and up to 3.6 COP at 47 degrees F (approx. 8.3 degrees C) and 2.5 COP at 17 degrees F (approx. -8.3 degrees C).
The units include standard field-convertible airflow, industry-standard footprints and connections for commercial applications ranging from new construction to replacement projects. Rheem said the design enables replacement without requiring curb adapters.
Key features include scroll compressors, a direct drive variable speed blower and MicroChannel coils. A factory-installed advanced unitary controller comes pre-configured with control sequences and is compatible with universal 24V control, BACnet, MS/TP and IP-native integration with third-party, cloud-based building automation systems. Built-in alarms, fault detection and diagnostics are available through the HMI display.
The units also include the PlusOne ServiceSmart package with the Qwik-slide blower, Qwik-clean drain pan and Qwik-change flex-fix filter rack. Rheem said the new units are manufactured at its Fort Smith, Arkansas factory and are intended to help businesses meet or exceed federal and local building energy efficiency standards, including California’s Title 24 (2025).
