STULZ launches updated CyberRack Active Rear Door for high-density cooling

STULZ has introduced an updated version of its CyberRack Active Rear Door, a rear-mounted heat exchanger designed for high-density server environments. The new model aims to enhance cooling efficiency in both air and liquid cooled data centers while saving space with a compact 274 mm footprint.

The unit uses electronically commutated (EC) fans and integrated sensors to monitor supply and return air temperatures, allowing adaptive cooling based on server heat loads. It delivers up to 49 kW of chilled water (CW) cooling and supports higher water temperatures to extend free cooling hours and reduce energy use.

STULZ highlights the system’s suitability for retrofit installations, with no rack repositioning required. Custom adaptor frames support integration with various rack sizes, allowing for standalone use or hybrid configurations alongside direct-to-chip liquid cooling.

Maintenance is streamlined through a two-step door opening over 90°, hot-swappable axial fans, and plug connectors. Differential pressure control adjusts fan speed to match airflow needs, supporting quiet, reliable operation.

The integrated STULZ E² control system features a 4.3-inch touchscreen and offers functions such as redundancy management, cross-unit parallel operation, and BMS integration.

‘The updated CyberRack Active Rear Door embodies our commitment to providing air conditioning solutions that combine cutting edge technology with intelligent design, user friendliness, energy efficiency, flexibility and reliability,’ said Valeria Mercante, product manager at STULZ.
