Applications Open for Cold Chain Sustainability Awards 2025

The Cold Chain Sustainability Awards 2025 are now open for applications! These awards honor businesses, facilities, and individuals within the cold chain industry who have made significant strides in sustainability through innovation, collaboration, and dedicated efforts to reduce carbon emissions, energy usage, and waste. Entries are open across a range of award categories, including new additions, and will close on January 24, 2025. Winners will be announced at the Cold Chain Climate Summit on March 20, 2025.

Award Categories:

  • Sustainable Business Awards: For businesses that led climate impact reductions in 2024.

  • Cold Storage Operator of the Year 2025: Recognizing operators who have minimized the environmental footprint of their facilities.

  • Refrigerated Transport Operator of the Year 2025: For operators who have taken steps to lower the environmental impact of their fleet.

  • Supplier of the Year 2025 (NEW): Celebrating suppliers who have actively reduced their own environmental footprint and supported similar efforts by clients.

  • Technological Breakthrough Awards: For groundbreaking innovations or projects completed in 2024 that drive cold chain sustainability.

  • Sustainable Cold Store of the Year 2025 (NEW): Recognizing individual cold stores that achieved exceptional sustainability standards.

  • Sustainable Innovation Awards (Cold Storage & Refrigerated Transport): For new products or services in 2024 that lower the climate impact of storage or transport.

  • Sustainable Partnership Project (NEW): Celebrating collaborative projects between businesses that have set an industry standard in environmental improvements.

  • Sustainability Champions Awards: Recognizing exemplary individuals and initiatives committed to advancing sustainability in the cold chain.

  • Business Climate Initiative (NEW): For initiatives in 2024 that raised climate awareness within a company, open to all Cold Chain Federation (CCF) members.

  • Cold Chain Climate Champion: For individuals under 35 who have shown dedication to sustainability within their roles.

  • Outstanding Leadership (NEW): Recognizing exceptional leaders who have driven cold chain sustainability over their careers.
