AREA to present work of Real Alternatives 4 LIFE project at upcoming webinar

On 17 November 2020, AREA and Real Alternatives 4 LIFE project representatives, Marco Buoni and Blanca Gómez, will present their work in the training of RACHP technicians at an online conference organised by the Ibero-American Network of Climate Change (RIOCC) in Chile.

Under the title "Actions and measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the fluorinated greenhouse gas sector and the implementation of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol", this webinar will present the experiences of several countries and organisations in their work to reduce emissions in the fluorinated greenhouse gas sector.

The goal? To identify policies, initiatives and measures which may be useful for countries of the Ibero-American region to implement the Kigali Amendment (an international agreement to gradually reduce the consumption and production of hydrofluorocarbons) in the Montreal Protocol, and also contribute to the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

Through dialogue between stakeholders, a better understanding of priorities, challenges and opportunities in Latin America's fight against climate change will be highlighted.
