Arneg Highlights F-Gas Regulation at Heat Pump Technologies in Milan

At the Heat Pump Technologies conference held on April 3 at Allianz MiCo in Milan, Arneg emphasized the role of regulatory compliance and refrigerant innovation in shaping a sustainable refrigeration industry. The event focused on technologies supporting the energy transition, with particular attention to the evolving F-Gas Regulation.

Eng. Enrico Zambotto, Refrigeration Engineering Director at Arneg, participated on behalf of Assocold—the Italian association representing commercial and industrial refrigeration manufacturers. In his address, Zambotto stressed the urgency of adopting the updated F-Gas Regulation and promoting low-GWP refrigerants.

“These are essential steps to reduce environmental impact and build a future with lower greenhouse gas emissions,” said Zambotto during the session.

The F-Gas Regulation, currently under revision at the European level, is a critical driver of change for HVACR systems, pushing for reduced reliance on fluorinated gases with high global warming potential. Arneg’s participation highlighted its ongoing commitment to sustainable practices and efficient refrigeration solutions aligned with EU climate goals.

The Milan event served as a platform for industry stakeholders to share perspectives on policy, technology, and best practices driving the sector’s energy transition.
