ASHRAE Announces Call for Abstracts for 2025 Annual Conference in Phoenix

ASHRAE is now accepting abstract submissions for its 2025 Annual Conference, which will be held June 21-25, 2025, at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Decarbonization continues to be a large theme at ASHRAE, with tracks inclusive to heat pumps, refrigerants, and thermal energy storage. These are supported by topics on industrial air-quality and energy use, which are equally important,” said technical conference chair Craig Bradshaw. “The program tracks for the 2025 Annual Conference in Phoenix aim to explore the challenges and opportunities in responding to these changes, while continuing to focus on core HVAC&R fundamentals, equipment, workforce, and research and development.”

Tracks for Conference Papers:

  • Industrial Ventilation, Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning and Energy Utilization: This track covers advancements in these technologies within the industrial sector and strategies for improving energy utilization.
  • Heat Pumps, Refrigerants and Decarbonization: Focuses on the development of heat pumps and related technologies that support decarbonization efforts.
  • Onsite Energy Storage: Highlights advancements in cost-effective materials and systems, design optimization and control, and the integration of onsite storage in buildings, HVAC systems, and grid resiliency.
  • Workforce Development: Covers business aspects outside of engineering/technical applications, allowing professionals to develop skills in areas such as leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Research Summit: Features active research and the exchange of research findings critical to the HVAC&R industry and built environment, in partnership with ASHRAE's archival journal, "Science and Technology for the Built Environment".
  • Fundamentals and Applications: Provides opportunities for papers across a wide range of topics, including theoretical and applied concepts of HVAC&R design.
  • HVAC&R Systems and Equipment: Focuses on the development of new systems and equipment, improvements to existing systems, and their proper application and operation.

Submission Deadlines:
