ASHRAE has presented its 2025 Honors and Awards during the Annual Conference held in Phoenix, recognizing members for professional excellence and contributions to HVAC&R and the built environment. The awards highlight achievements in technical leadership, sustainability, innovation, and service within the Society.
Gutemberg Rios received the Dan Mills Chapter Programs Award for chapter program excellence.
Jeffrey Siegel was honored with the Donald Bahnfleth Environmental Health Award for service on environmental health issues.
Phil Naughton received the George B. Hightower Technical Achievement Award for technical committee contributions.
Billy Austin was presented with the Government Affairs Award for work with government on technical issues.
Cary Faulkner received the Homer Addams Award for graduate-level research contributions to ASHRAE.
Jean Leilani Grace N. Clemente earned the Lincoln Bouillon Award for membership recruitment.
Alan Y.W. Lam was honored with the Lou Flagg Historical Award for historical contributions.
This award was given to two teams:
Huanan Shen, John Hollick, and Aaron Feng Gao
Guogeng He, Shaolin Chen, Jun Xiong, Jialiang Hua, and Zhihao Zhang
for developing low-GWP technologies in developing countries.
Paul W. Francisco received the Residential Buildings Service Award.
H. Jay Enck and Jason Glazer were awarded the Standards Achievement Award for standards development.
Amanda Forest received the William J. Collins Jr. RP Award for excellence in fundraising.
The award was presented to Aaron Besseling, Akshay Bhargava, and Jayson Bursill.
Juliana Velez received the Youth Outreach Award for STEM engagement.
Max Sherman received this award for “IAQ Paradigms - The Next Generation.”

Michael Huylo and Atila Novoselac received this award for a paper on digital-twin modeling and renewable fuel transition.
