ASHRAE has published the technical program for its 2025 Building Decarbonization Conference, scheduled for October 22–24, 2025, at the Westin Chicago River North in Chicago, Illinois. Registration is now open.
The two-and-a-half-day event will feature 21 seminars, 14 panels, and three keynote sessions. The technical program is organized around four thematic tracks: Scaling Decarbonization, Innovator’s Showcase, Blueprints for Change, and Beyond Decarbonization.
Scheduled presentations include “Beyond Energy: A Workshop on Tackling Whole Life Carbon” by Wyatt Ross (CMTA, Cincinnati, OH) and Juan Guarin (Perkins Eastman, Washington, D.C.), and “Is Zero Even Possible,” moderated by Elizabeth K Tomlinson (Stantec, Calgary, AB, Canada).
Additional sessions include “Similar Decarbonization Goals, Different Decarbonization Paths for Two District Energy Systems” by Blake Ellis (Burns & McDonnell, Kansas City, MO), and “Careers in Building Decarbonization: Navigating an Emerging Industry,” moderated by Amanda Webb (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH). Kent Peterson (P2S Inc., Long Beach, CA) will present “Decarbonizing Campus Infrastructure: A California College Example.”
