BAC to Present Immersion and Hybrid Cooling Technologies at 2026 AHR Expo

Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), based in Maryland, USA, will showcase several high-efficiency cooling solutions at the 2026 AHR Expo, booth C4507. The company will present innovations for comfort cooling, process cooling, refrigeration, and data center applications, including its Nexus modular hybrid cooler and immersion cooling tank powered by CorTex technology—an AHR Expo Innovation Award finalist in the Cooling category.

The Nexus modular hybrid cooler integrates the PuriStream water treatment system and features touchscreen controls that automatically balance water and energy use. Designed for HVAC and light industrial applications, the unit offers hybrid, evaporative, and dry cooling capability. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for urban or indoor mechanical rooms, while the system aims to meet evolving energy and sustainability standards.

BAC will also introduce a data center model combining indoor immersion cooling with its portfolio of outdoor cooling systems. This configuration forms part of the COBALT immersion cooling system, designed to support high-powered servers and dense rack configurations while reducing emissions in AI and high-intensity computing environments.

The company’s upgraded immersion cooling tank—also recognized as an AHR Expo Innovation Awards finalist—is powered by CorTex technology and designed for high-performance data centers. It offers Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.05 and is available in multiple sizes (16RU, 32RU, 38RU, and 48RU) to support various server configurations. The sealed, leak-free design eliminates penetrations below the fluid level, and up to four pumps provide operational redundancy. The system uses dielectric fluid for heat transfer and supports external cooling with water or water-glycol mixtures.

The immersion cooling tank is certified under the Intel Data Center Certified Solution for Immersion Cooling program for fourth and fifth-generation Xeon processors. BAC has also launched an online Immersion Cooling Impact calculator to help estimate potential energy savings and emission reductions.
