Beijer Ref Academy Announces 2025 Training Roadshow for Low GWP and Flammable Refrigerants

Beijer Ref Academy, together with Superior Training Centre, has announced the 2025 course dates for its Low GWP and Flammable Refrigerants training. Following a successful mobile delivery throughout 2024 in QLD, VIC, and TAS, the 2-day nationally recognized course will embark on a national roadshow in 2025.

Elizabeth Paparo, Beijer Ref's marketing manager, emphasized the appeal of the mobile program: "The ability to attend a mobile program is attractive to technicians, so we are eager to accommodate and provide the opportunity for many more technicians to take up the training and upskill themselves."

The course covers crucial competencies including safety and legal requirements, servicing and repairing, and installing flammable refrigerant systems. Participants have praised the program for its informative content and practical training. Feedback highlights include appreciation for the course's preparation, presentation, and the confidence gained in handling flammable refrigerants.

Beijer Ref Academy Expands CO2 Training with New 2025 Courses

Beijer Ref Academy, in collaboration with Superior Training Centre, has expanded its acclaimed CO2 program, announcing new course dates for 2025. The next session will be held in March 2025 at the Beijer Ref Academy in Bankstown, NSW.

Inderpal Saund, Business Development Director APAC at Beijer Ref, highlighted the program's focus on remaining technician-relevant and incorporating the latest technology. "Feedback from our attendees has shown that they want more hands-on training, so we have expanded our offer to include system controls, as well as the ability to deliver advanced CO2 content," he said.

The enhanced course now includes two days at the academy, covering refrigeration systems controls widely used in the industry. This addition equips technicians to handle various controls and systems beyond their training experience.

Certified by Superior Training Centre (RTO ID: 41122), the course features competencies such as UEERA0006 on CO2 refrigerant safety and legal requirements, and UEERA0066 on repairing and servicing CO2 refrigeration systems. The training is delivered in a hybrid format, combining self-paced theory with hands-on sessions at the academy.

A unique aspect of the training is its location at the operational SCM REF AU manufacturing facility, offering technicians exposure to commercial units at different construction stages, enhancing their understanding of design, service, and repair.

The academy recently completed successful training on SCM Frigo Packs and Controls with City Facilities Management Australia, combining theory, practical elements, and a site visit to an operational plant. Given the success, the academy will continue to provide this course throughout 2025.

Interested technicians are encouraged to email academy@beijerref.au to secure their spot for 2025 courses. Registration is required by the course cut-off date, and courses are subject to minimum participant numbers. Participants will be informed of the course's status after the registration deadline.
