BITZER hosts IRN 2025 Conference on industrial refrigeration trends

The Industrial Refrigeration Network Conference (IRN) 2025 was held on 4 and 5 June at the SCHAUFLER Academy, BITZER's site in Rottenburg-Ergenzingen, Germany. The event gathered professionals from across the refrigeration sector to exchange knowledge on current trends, regulatory developments, and technological innovations in industrial refrigeration.

Launched in 2024 by European HVAC&R component and system suppliers, the IRN conference aims to establish a regular platform for knowledge-sharing within the European industrial refrigeration sector. BITZER and other sponsors supported the 2025 edition, which was conducted in English.

The event featured expert presentations on system optimisation, natural refrigerants, and energy-efficient solutions. Sessions also addressed the impact of new legal regulations. Sustainability was a key theme throughout the conference, with several discussions focused on reducing the carbon footprint in industrial refrigeration.

At the sponsor exhibition, BITZER showcased its Ammonia Compressor Packs (ACPs), a screw compressor package developed specifically for the use of ammonia as a refrigerant. Networking sessions allowed participants to explore future collaboration opportunities.

The organizers announced plans to continue the event in 2026 and stated that interviews from the 2025 conference will soon be published as videos on social media platforms.
