The 37th China Refrigeration Exhibition was held from April 8 to 10, 2026, at the Beijing Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center in China. The event covered 115,000 sq m (approx. 1.24 million sq ft) and brought together 1,041 companies and institutions from 30 countries and regions.
The exhibition was organized by the Chinese Society of Refrigeration, the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association, and Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. According to the source, it brought together manufacturers, solution providers, industry associations, and professional visitors from the refrigeration, air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, frozen food processing, packaging, and storage sectors.
Featured areas included the third Industry-Academia Integration Roadshow Demonstration Zone, the ozone-climate technology roadshow and industrial roundtable, and the heat pump zone. The industry-academia area was located at booth A1G63 in Hall A1, covered more than 500 sq m (approx. 5,382 sq ft), and included technology commercialization cases and technology roadshows. A total of 51 projects from 23 universities and research institutes were displayed there, including 21 projects scheduled for presentations to companies on April 8, while 13 technology commercialization cases were also showcased.
The organizers also arranged exchange activities between exhibitors and professional visitor groups from design institutes, the frozen food and cold storage sector, the HVAC industry, and provincial refrigeration societies across China. After the exhibition, the China Refrigeration Exhibition Expert Committee was set to prepare a technical summary report covering the technologies and features presented at the event.
China Refrigeration 2026 features launches from Secop, Garrett, ebm-papst and BITZER
At China Refrigeration Expo 2026, held in Beijing from April 8 to 10, exhibitors including Secop, Garrett Motion, ebm-papst and BITZER presented new products and system solutions for commercial refrigeration, HVAC, data centers, heat pumps and transport cooling. The companies focused on energy efficiency, lower-GWP refrigerants and application-specific system design.
Secop showed a portfolio for light commercial, mobile and medical refrigeration. Highlights included the BD Nano EV for electric vehicles, the SCE Plus compressor, and the expanded NLV range with three controller options: Core Functions (CF), Multipurpose (MP) and Extended (XT). At the Ozone2Climate Technology Roadshow, co-organised by UN Environment, UNDP, FECO and CRAA, Secop also displayed SCE Plus for R290 and the BD Nano with R600a.
Garrett Motion presented oil-free centrifugal compressors for data centers, battery energy storage systems and industrial and commercial cooling. The company launched a portfolio covering cooling demands from 25 to 1,750 kWc (about 7 to 500 tons), including a new 1,250 kWc compressor making its public debut at the show. Garrett also said it would present an oil-free cooling compressor for electric trucks and buses, with launch planned with Cling for 2027.
ebm-papst used the exhibition to showcase air technology products for HVAC, data centers, refrigeration, residential ventilation and renewable energy applications. The company highlighted its new-generation RadiPac centrifugal fans with metal impellers and demonstrated system applications through a mobile demo vehicle and virtual reality experiences. The group also said 2026 marks its 30th year in the Chinese market.
BITZER focused on components for future-proof refrigerants, heating decarbonisation and data center cooling. Among the products presented were CSW105 compact screw compressors for data center applications, with up to 4 MW of cooling capacity in tandem configuration, and the new SHST 2-stage screw compressor series for blast freezing and low-temperature applications, with displacements from 250 to 1350 m³/h at 50 Hz and evaporation temperatures down to -65 °C.
