Climate Pros has successfully graduated the first class from its Refrigeration Academy, an initiative under Climate Pros University aimed at bridging the gap in the supply of skilled commercial refrigeration technicians. Launched in 2024, the 12-week program targets recent high school graduates in areas including Florida, California, Illinois, and Tennessee.
The program provides intensive training and certifies graduates in commercial refrigeration, equipping them for the industry. "The success of our academy highlights our dedication to tackling the skills shortage," said Todd Ernest, CEO of Climate Pros. Graduates have been offered full-time roles, starting January 6, 2025, at various branch offices, showcasing Climate Pros' commitment to career development and industry enhancement.
Climate Pros plans to continue the program annually to foster skilled labor growth in the commercial refrigeration field.
